Skincare for people who train.
Sweat, sunscreen, two showers a day, cold mornings and a kit bag. What a training week does to skin, the part skincare can honestly help with, and the part it cannot.
What training does to skin.
Two showers a day
Hot water and frequent washing take lipids and water from the skin's surface, which is why skin can feel tight after the second shower. Lukewarm water and a cleanser that does not strip make the biggest difference; a barrier cream at night does the rest.
Sweat and sunscreen
A session leaves salt and oil on the skin and, outdoors, a water-resistant sunscreen that is made not to come off. Rinse soon after training, then cleanse properly: an oil cleanser on dry skin takes water-resistant sunscreen off in one pass.
Cold, wind and floodlights
Winter training, wind and a hot shower afterwards leave skin dry and tight. Putting moisture back is a cosmetic job, and it is the one creams do best.
The kit bag
Away days and early travel mean one bag and an airport security check. That calls for carry-on sizes, and a routine short enough to do at a changing-room sink.
The same sequence, around a session.
Train in the morning, at lunch or under the lights: the steps do not change, only where they fall. Shower first, with lukewarm water rather than hot.
After training
- 01CleanseOil-to-Milk Cleanser
- 02TreatRenewal Serum
- 03HydrateDay Cream
- —ProtectYour sunscreen, if you are going back outside
One cleanse takes sweat and water-resistant sunscreen off together. If your skin runs oily, the serum alone may be enough after a daytime session; the Day Cream is for normal to dry skin.
Before bed
- 01CleanseOil-to-Milk Cleanser
- 02TreatRenewal Serum
- 04RestoreNight Cream
Trained in the evening and cleansed after the session? You do not need to cleanse again. Serum, then the Night Cream: the richest step, for skin that has been washed twice, chlorinated or out in the wind.
New to the range? Patch-test each product on the inner forearm for two days first.
Start from the session, not the shelf.
Five things a training week does to skin, and the step in the sequence that answers each one. Care, not treatment: we say which is which.

Sweat, oil and sunscreen after a session
Oil-to-Milk Cleanser
Water-resistant sunscreen is made to stay on, and a rinse in the shower rarely takes it off. Massage the Oil-to-Milk Cleanser onto dry skin, add water and rinse: sunscreen, sweat and the day's residue come off in one pass, without leaving skin tight.

Washing twice a day leaves skin tight
Night Cream · Oil-to-Milk Cleanser
Hot water and frequent washing take lipids and water from the skin's surface. Keep the water lukewarm, use a cleanser that does not strip, and finish the evening with the Night Cream, whose ceramides replenish the lipids that hold the surface together. For normal to dry skin.

Cold, wind and floodlights
Day Cream · Night Cream
Winter sessions, wind, then a hot shower: skin ends the day dry. The Day Cream holds hydration through a cold morning and the Night Cream is the richer step after a late session. Both are for normal to dry skin, and neither is a sunscreen.

Early sessions, short nights
Gel Booster
An early start shows around the eyes first. Mix one to three drops of the 1% caffeine Gel Booster into your moisturiser: it visibly de-puffs and refreshes the look of tired skin. It is oil-free and weightless. It will not replace the sleep.

Kit bag and away travel
Renewal Serum · Day Cream · Night Cream
The Travel Set is the Renewal Serum, the Day Cream and the Night Cream, each under the 100 ml carry-on limit for liquids, so the routine goes through airport security in your hand luggage. The cleanser is 150 ml and travels in the hold.

Training outdoors
Wear a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen, SPF 30 or higher, and reapply it. We do not make one, and nothing in this range replaces it.
What MIDO Skin is not →Everything here is for the face and neck. None of it is a treatment for acne, rashes or any skin condition; for those, see a pharmacist or doctor.

What MIDO Skin is not.
Not a sunscreen
None of our products has an SPF, and the Day Cream is not a sunscreen and does not contain one. Training outdoors, wear a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen, SPF 30 or higher, and reapply it as its label says.
Not a treatment
Nothing here is a treatment for acne, breakouts, rashes, infections or any other skin condition. If something will not settle, spreads or looks infected, see a pharmacist or doctor. That is not a skincare job.
Not for the body
Every product is for the face and neck. We make no body wash, no deodorant and nothing for chafing.
Not a substitute for the basics
Shower soon after training, use your own towel and change out of damp kit. It is standard hygiene advice for anyone who trains, and it costs nothing.
Patch-test first
Try anything new on the inner forearm for two days before it goes on your face, and stop if your skin reacts. The cleanser and both creams are fragranced. The Renewal Serum has no added fragrance.
The Council is opening.
MIDO is built around an athlete's day, and Skin is the part that comes after training. Before anything new joins the range, people who train will use it through real sessions. We will publish who they are, how many sessions they did, what they said (including what they did not like) and the free product they were given. That council is opening now. Until its notes are published, we make no claim that any athlete has tested this range.
